Hello CS 100W classmates, welcome to my newly created blog. My name is Matthew Pronge, and I am a junior enrolled at San Jose State University as a Computer Science major. My goal with this blog is to provide information about important facets of the computer science industry. There were many different majors that interested me, but Computer Science was the one that got me hooked. With an understanding of how to work with computers, it seems like one could take any idea they have and implement it in a program. It was that type of creative freedom that drew me to this major.
For the moment, I am a full-time student at San Jose State, my exposure to programming is limited to Java and C. I have a very solid understanding of Java, and I feel that I am at my best when I work with stacks and queues. Right now, I feel very comfortable working with anything related to java and I am always willing to learn more about aspects of computer science that I have no experience in. This semester will prove to be a very interesting one, and I anticipate that it will be quite challenging, but I relish the chance to prove myself.
